Who Hungers for Your Praise?

Praise is like an advance team for presence – it releases resistance, opens doors, and brings people together like nothing else.  We are not talking coddling, but rather authentic tribute for a job well done.

Experiment with praise by choosing someone in your life who has been struggling lately, who may have lost touch with his or her unique attributes.

Think about which of those attributes you admire most.

Next, praise those attributes sincerely, in person, with no agenda or need for response… in other words, with no expectation of receiving anything in return.

Then, over the weeks that follow, watch for surprising changes in the entire relationship.
